Our Story

Hello! Ola!

I’m Victoria, the owner, and operator of One Delicious Bite Wpg. I am happily together with my life partner (now fiance) Brock and I am a mom to a handsome teenage son. We are a family home-based business located in the heart of Old St. Vital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

One Delicious Bite Wpg began when I was studying at University of Winnipeg to get my B.E.D and on a limited university student budget. I still wanted to be able to give meaningful and handmade gifts to my family and friends on their birthdays, baby showers, weddings, anniversaries, and during the holidays.

So, during the day I would be in university studying, and at night I would create, develop, and stress bake all sorts of desserts. Eventually, I would share my family-approved recipes with my family, friends, acquaintances and neighbours.

During Covid is when I had decided to launch my own personal food blog called “One Delicious Bite” and to me that was the recipe (pun intended) for delicious memories to share.

My family and I are born and raised in Winnipeg and our small family business needed a sense of belonging and local prairie pride to make it feel like home. We then decided to keep the original name and adding Winnipeg back in October 2021. As a self-taught baker and Mom, I am very passionate about baking, making memories, and believe that the heART of baking runs culturally (being a Luso-Canadian) deep in our family.

Our family recipe dessert mixes are all layered in lovely mason jars to bake at home. Each mason jar dessert mix is made with simple and local Canadian ingredients, along with step-by-step directions to bake at home, and are stored in eco-friendly glass mason jars.
